Located in Whistler’s valley, this challenging site was composed of soft ground forcing us to set the house on a custom-made, oversized foundation. This stunning home display slick lines and efficient design. The architect, Chris Hunter, incorporated the steel posts and beams required for the floor-to-ceiling window into his design by keeping it all exposed, creating a strong visual architecture.

By strategically using steel posts, engineer Adrien Benech, was able to design a structure that supports 12′ of over-hanging roof over the upper patio. Quit a feat, considering the significant amount of snow in Whistler!
