Whistler Cay custom home build

For this Whistler custom build, this location posed a distinctive obstacle with its soft ground, demanding the creation of a custom, oversized foundation for the dwelling. Despite the challenging terrain, the outcome is a remarkable home characterized by clean lines. Architect Chris Hunter ingeniously integrated the necessary steel posts and beams for the floor-to-ceiling windows into his architectural vision, showcasing them prominently and making a visually striking statement.
Through strategic placement of steel posts, Adrien Benech engineered a structural masterpiece capable of supporting a 12-foot overhang over the upper patio—an impressive feat considering Whistler’s substantial snowfall. This innovative approach not only ensures functionality but also adds a touch of architectural refinement to the residence.
